Residential Skip Bins in Sydney
Most of the bins we drop are outside ordinary houses. Someone is renovating a bathroom, clearing a parent’s place, getting the garden back under control, or finally dealing with the garage. None of that needs a complicated booking process.
What people usually use them for
Renovations
Bathroom, kitchen and laundry strip-outs. Tiles, cabinetry, plasterboard and old fittings. A 4m3 covers most single-room jobs.
House clear outs
Moving, downsizing or preparing a property for sale. Furniture, boxes, years of accumulated things. Usually a 6m3 or 8m3.
Deceased estates
Slow, difficult work that people want done without pressure. We will leave the bin longer if you need it. Just ask.
Garden and green waste
Prunings, hedge clippings, turf and branches. Green waste is a cheaper stream, so keep it separate if you can.

Driveway or street
If the bin fits on your property, put it there. No council permit, no permit fee, no time limit imposed by anyone but us. That is the cheapest way to hire a bin in Sydney and it is worth measuring the driveway before you assume it will not fit.
If it has to go out front, your council decides the cost and the rules, and they differ wildly. City of Sydney residents pay nothing for up to fourteen days. Inner West gives you seven days free then charges weekly. Bayside waives its application fee for a single dwelling using a bin for five days or less. We will tell you which council you are in and what it charges.

Asbestos is the one to be careful about. If you are stripping a wet area or a ceiling in anything built before the late 1980s, stop and get it tested before it goes anywhere near a skip. Putting asbestos in a general bin is an offence and it is expensive for everyone involved.
How ordering works
There is no booking form to wrestle with. You call, we ask what you are throwing out and where the bin is going, and we tell you the size and the price on the phone. If we can get it to you the same day we will say so, and if we cannot we will tell you that too rather than take the booking and leave you waiting.
When you are finished, call us and we collect it. Hire is seven days as standard.
Where the waste actually goes
Everything we collect goes to a licensed transfer station where it is sorted rather than tipped straight into landfill. Clean concrete, brick and green waste are the easiest streams to recycle and the cheapest to dispose of, which is why separating them saves you money as well as saving the load from landfill.
If you have two clearly different waste streams, ask about two bins. It often works out cheaper than one mixed bin, because mixed loads attract the highest disposal rate.

What size skip bin do I need for a house clean out?
For a full house, most people land on a 6m3 or 8m3. For one or two rooms, a 4m3 is usually enough. Count it in trailer loads: one cubic metre is roughly one 6×4 trailer.
Can the bin go on my driveway?
Yes, and it is the cheaper option because you avoid a council permit entirely. We need a flat run long enough for the bin plus room for the truck, and about three metres of overhead clearance.
How long can I keep it?
Seven days as standard. If you need longer, tell us when you book and we will sort it out rather than charge you a surprise.
Do you take mattresses and furniture?
Furniture yes, no problem. Mattresses attract a separate charge everywhere in Sydney because they have to be pulled apart and processed on their own, so mention them when you call and we will price it properly.
Can I put soil or bricks in a household bin?
In small amounts usually yes, but heavy material fills the weight allowance fast. If you are clearing a garden bed or removing a path, ask for a heavy waste bin instead, and take a smaller size than you think you need.
